What we store, what we do with it, and what we never do
Styrla is run by Valentin Lönnbro from Sweden. Anything below that says “we” means him, and the address for every question, correction or deletion request is valentin@styrla.com.
The free-check form and the app waitlist
When you send the form we store your email address, the note you typed, which page you sent it from, the time, and your browser’s identification string (the “user agent”, which helps us spot automated spam). We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. If you tick the box asking to hear about the app, we email you once when it lists. Entries are deleted after 180 days unless you become a customer or ask us to keep them.
A Stocky file you email us
It is opened by Valentin and run through Styrla’s own software to produce your spreadsheets and report. It is not passed to anyone else, it is not sold, and it is never used to train anything. It is deleted from our mailbox and our machines 30 days after we send you your files, or immediately if you ask. We will sign an NDA before you send anything if you want one.
The Styrla app, once installed on a Shopify store
The app reads your products and their stock levels, your locations, and the quantities on your order lines for the last 60 days — never customer names, addresses, emails or payment details. It stores per-product daily sales totals, the suppliers and purchase orders you create in it, and the settings you choose. It writes to your store in exactly two cases, and you press a button for both. Receiving a purchase order adds the units you entered to your Shopify stock, with “received” as the reason in Shopify’s own inventory history, or “correction” when you undo an earlier mistake. Applying a stock count sets the products you counted to the numbers you counted, with “cycle count” as the reason. Both can also stock an item at a location that never held it, if that is where you received or counted it. Nothing else writes, and nothing writes on a schedule. When you uninstall, your data is deleted 48 hours later as Shopify’s rules require, or sooner if you ask. Everything you enter can be exported as CSV at any time.
Where it lives
The website and the app run on Fly.io servers in Stockholm, Sweden, on encrypted storage. Email is handled by our email provider on our behalf; we do not run advertising or analytics cookies on this site, and if that ever changes this page will say so first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used — email the address above and it happens within a few days, without a form. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), though we would rather you told us first.
