The app

A Shopify app that knows what to reorder, how much, and from which supplier.

It watches how fast each product actually sells and how long each supplier actually takes to deliver, then tells you to order before you run out — and turns the answer into a purchase order you can send, receive, and have update your Shopify stock. It counts the shelf too, on the phone in your pocket. Built for shops that hold stock and reorder weekly.

Used Stocky? Styrla imports your Stocky purchase-order export on every plan, including Free.

The What to order page in Styrla: one draft purchase order per supplier at the top, then every product with its status, days of stock and order quantity
What to order, in the development store this whole page is shot in. One draft per supplier at the top; below, every product with its status, days of stock and the quantity to order.
01The app itself

The rest of the app, from the same store

A development store with 312 products, nine suppliers and 60 days of orders. Nothing here is a mock-up; every number was computed by the app.

The Healthy tab: each row says the day to order by
Healthy products say when "Order by 9 Sept at today's rate." A healthy product is not silent; it tells you the last day you can order and still have it arrive in time.
A purchase order being received: received and remaining columns and an Arrived now field per line
Receiving a delivery Type what arrived, per line. Shopify stock rises by exactly that, at the location you choose, and the order stays open until everything is in.
The Suppliers table with measured delivery time, slow-delivery time, pack size and product counts
Suppliers, measured Delivery time and the slow-delivery figure come from your own orders. The green Measured tag says which ones have enough history to have been counted; the rest use your default until they do.
A draft purchase order with reference, note to supplier and a pack-size warning on a line
The purchase order itself Reference, a note to the supplier, quantities you can change, and a quiet warning when a quantity does not fit the supplier's pack. Sent as PDF and CSV.
02What it does

Four jobs, done from data you already have

Nothing here needs a forecast you have to believe in. It needs your sales history, your stock levels, and how long your suppliers really take.

01 · Sales

How fast it really sells

A blend of the last 30 and 60 days, weighted toward the recent month, so a good week moves the number without a good quarter anchoring it. Days the shelf was empty are left out: being sold out is not slow demand, and counting it as such is how a product that keeps running out gets ordered in ever smaller quantities. New products are judged on the days they have existed; products with too little history are flagged, not guessed at.

02 · Timing

When to order

Daily sales × (the supplier's delivery time + your safety days) is the stock level at which you must order. Styrla compares it with what you have and what is already on its way, and tells you the last day to order. A supplier that is slow and erratic gets more safety days on its own.

03 · Purchase orders

What to send, and what arrived

Everything due from one supplier drafted into one purchase order, rounded to pack sizes and minimums. Email it as PDF, print it, then receive the delivery — Styrla adds exactly what arrived to your Shopify stock, and nothing else.

04 · Counting

What is actually on the shelf

Count with any scanner that types, or by hand on the phone in your pocket. Every entry is saved as you make it, so closing the app loses nothing. The difference against Shopify is shown in money as well as units, so you can see what a count is worth without rebuilding it in a spreadsheet. Nothing is written to your stock until you press the button, and a product you never counted is never quietly set to zero.

03The math

How one row is worked out

The same four lines, on every product, in words a shop owner uses. Check them against your own numbers; if you disagree, change a setting, not your trust.

Sit Pad · sells 3.2 a day · the supplier takes 14 days · 7 safety days · sold in packs of 6
StepCalculationResult
Order when stock falls to3.2 × (14 + 7)67 units
Where you are40 in stock + 0 on order40 — below 67
Days of stock40 ÷ 3.212 days — fewer than the 14 the supplier needs
Order quantity3.2 × (14 + 30) − 40 = 100.8, rounded up to packs of 6102 units
The row says Order now, 102. With 120 in stock instead, the same row would name a date instead of a quantity — the last day you can order and still have it arrive before the shelf is empty.

Daily sales blend the last 30 and 60 days, weighted toward the recent one, counting only the days the product was actually on the shelf. Safety days rise on their own for a supplier whose measured deliveries vary. All three numbers are settings you can see and change.

04Counting

Counting the shelf, in the Shopify app on your phone

One supplier's 29 products, counted inside the Shopify app you already have, in the same development store as the screens above. Nothing reaches your Shopify stock until the last of these three screens, and then only the products you actually counted.

The start of a stock count on a phone: a location picker, a choice between everything and one supplier's products, and a Count blind checkbox
A shelf, not the whole shop Choose the location you are counting; the count is applied back to that one. Count blind hides what Shopify thinks you have, for the whole count, so the shelf is counted rather than confirmed.
A count in progress on a phone: 18 of 29 counted, a scan-or-type box, a line reading 6.60 USD more on the shelf, and a counted row marked matches
The difference, in money Scan with any scanner that types, or type the code in yourself; leave the quantity empty and each scan adds one. Above the list: how many of the counted products disagree with Shopify, and what the gap is worth — here the shelf holds 6.60 USD more than the book says.
The end of a count: a warning that setting the eleven uncounted products to zero would remove 717 units worth 3,490.23 USD, and a button to apply the 18 that were counted
Nothing reaches Shopify until here Applying sets the products you counted to the numbers you counted, and leaves the eleven nobody reached exactly as they are. Zeroing those is a separate button, and it says what that would cost first: 717 units, 3,490.23 USD.
05Delivery times

The number everything depends on, and the number everyone guesses

When to order is only as good as the delivery time behind it. A number typed in once never learns, and it hides the difference between a supplier who is usually late and one who is occasionally very late.

Styrla measures it instead — from your purchase orders, order by order: how long each supplier usually takes, and how long on a slow month. A supplier at 46 days usually but 55 on a slow month forces nine days of margin that a single typed-in “46” would have hidden.

08Who is behind it

One person, in Sweden, who answers the email himself

Styrla is a small independent company in Sweden. There is no support team and no ticket queue: the address in the app goes straight to the person who built it, and it is usually answered the same working day. Requests for changes are welcome and often shipped within days.

The app is new, and this page has no customer logos because there are no customers yet. Saying so seemed better than inventing some.

  • Your store's data is used for your store only. It is not sold, shared, or used to train anything.
  • Everything exports as CSV, so nothing is locked to Styrla.
  • Styrla never changes your stock on its own — only when you receive a purchase order or apply a stock count, and then it shows exactly what changed.

09Questions

Questions you are probably asking

Does it cost anything to try?

No. The Free plan covers 300 products with every feature, and needs no card. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial, billed through Shopify, cancel any time.

Will Styrla change my stock levels?

In two places, and you press a button for both: receiving a purchase order, and applying a stock count. Each writes exactly the units you typed, at the location you chose, and then shows you what changed. Never on its own, and never on a schedule.

Does a sent order show up under Incoming in Shopify?

No. Shopify fills its Incoming figure only from its own built-in purchase orders and transfers, and gives no app a way to write it. Styrla counts sent orders as incoming inside What to order, so nothing is suggested twice, and adds the units to your stock when you receive the delivery.

Do I need a special barcode scanner to count?

Any scanner that behaves as a keyboard works, which is the ordinary kind — the mode is usually called HID or keyboard wedge. It types the code into the box and sends Enter, and Styrla adds one. Plugged into a computer, or paired to a phone over Bluetooth. There is nothing to set up in Styrla. If yours sends a Tab instead of an Enter, change that in the scanner’s own settings. A scanner that needs its own app is not supported, and you can always type the code or count by hand instead. The phone’s camera is not used: Styrla has no camera scanning, so it is a scanner that types, or typing by hand.

I never used Stocky. Does it still work?

Yes. Styrla reads your Shopify sales and stock. The Stocky import is optional; without it, delivery times start at your default until you type or measure them.

How much history does it need?

Fourteen days of sales before it suggests an order for a product. Until then it shows the numbers and says so, rather than dressing a guess up as a suggestion.

I have several locations.

Suggestions count stock across all locations; receiving goes into the location you choose. Suggestions per location and transfers between them are not built yet.

What counts towards the product limit?

Every variant Shopify tracks stock for counts once, so a T-shirt in 3 colours and 4 sizes is 12. Draft and archived products and bundles don't count. Going over the limit breaks nothing: Styrla keeps watching every product, shows the most urgent ones up to your plan's limit, and tells you which plan covers the rest.

How am I billed, and how do I cancel?

Through Shopify, on the same bill as your Shopify plan. Styrla never asks for a card. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial, once per store. Change or cancel any time under Settings in the app; cancelling stops the next charge.

Where do my suppliers come from?

Three ways, mixed as you like. One click turns the Vendor field on your products into suppliers. A Stocky purchase-order export rebuilds them, with delivery times measured from your own orders. Or add them by hand. Until a supplier has a delivery time, Styrla uses a 14-day default that you can change in Settings.

How does a purchase order reach my supplier?

Email it straight from Styrla, print it (or save it as a PDF from the print dialog), or download it as a CSV. Styrla drafts one purchase order per supplier, and nothing is sent until you send it.

What store data does Styrla read?

Products, stock levels, locations, and the quantities on your order lines. No customer names, addresses or emails. The only thing it writes is stock, and only when you receive a delivery or apply a count.

Who answers when I get stuck?

Write to valentin@styrla.com or use Help under Settings in the app. A person replies, usually the same working day.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Shopify sends Styrla a deletion request about 48 hours after you uninstall, and everything stored for your store is erased. Export your CSVs first if you want to keep them.
